Shrek 5 Can (And Should) Be A Full-Blown Horror Movie

The Shrek saga is known for its comedic style, but Shrek 5 should embrace the franchise’s roots and go full horror. Back in 2001, when Disney was still the dominant force in the world of animation, DreamWorks brought Shrek, which challenged the conventional image of fairy tales by giving them a twist and adding more humor to them (though, in big part, a more mature type of humor). Shrek was a massive success and even took the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, but most importantly, it made way for a franchise with sequels, short films, spinoffs, and more.
