Ministerial nominee: FCT APC commends Tinubu over Jisalo appointment

The chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Alhaji Abdulmalik Usman, has expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the appointment of Hon. Zephaniah Bitrus Jisalo, as a ministerial nominee.

Addressing journalists Saturday, the party’s chairman said the appointment of Jisalo was first of its kind to the people of the territory since its democratic experience in 1999.

Alhaji Usman said President Tinubu had already made history, describing it as a special privilege and testimony of actualisation of his Renewed Hope agenda.

He stated that the president’s action was a demonstration of shared commitment, social justice and political motivation for the people of FCT.

He pledged that this rear opportunity and unique advantage would be used to advance the electoral chances of the party and make it a very attractive party for the people of FCT.

Alhaji Usman expressed joy over the choice of the ministerial nominee. He said the entire people in the FCT, particularly members of the APC were already fulfilled by the president’s choice of Jisalo.

He added that the APC in FCT since its formation has been doing well and remained firm in the territory, even without having a member from FCT as governor or minister.

While tracing the party’s political activities in FCT since its formation, the state party chairman said: “We have actively participated in the merger process of APC in 2014 and took part in the 2015 general elections that scored us 47.3% with neither governor nor minister,” he said.
