Mirage's return has been confirmed for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts' sequels, which is great news for Transformers 8. Instead of treading the same path as its predecessors and portraying Bumblebee as the first point of contact between the Autobots and a human, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts switched narrative lanes and explored a whole new storyline where Mirage is the first Autobot who establishes contact with a human. While the Autobot leader, Optimus Prime, blatantly expresses his hate towards humanity, Mirage instantly becomes likable when he takes a leap of faith and strikes a bond with Noah.
