One memorable star from The Boys is set to join another superhero satire, this time for HBO's The Franchise. Even though The Boys does take aim at superhero movies and Hollywood trends more broadly, it tends to be only one of the targets of the Prime Video show which is primarily interested in critiquing the intersection of politics, capitalism, and celebrity worship. But in her next project, one of The Boys' scene-stealing actors will lead an HBO show that centers on the chaotic experience of franchise moviemaking that has taken over the entertainment industry.
