Haunting In Venice Box Office Opening Weekend Struggles To Stay Afloat (Despite Being Best-Reviewed Hercule Poirot Movie)

A Haunting in Venice's opening weekend is a slight improvement for the franchise, but the movie is struggling to make an impression. The murder mystery is the third outing as Hercule Poirot for director-star Kenneth Branagh, adapting the lesser-known Agatha Christie Novel Hallowe'en Party after bursting onto the scene with 2017's Murder on the Orient Express, which was followed by 2022's Death on the Nile. Co-starring Tina Fey, Michelle Yeoh, and Jamie Dornan, A Haunting in Venice follows a retired Poirot investigating the murder of a medium the night of a Halloween party in a supposedly haunted Venice palazzo.
