Mohbad Candlelight in Lekki Turns Bloody, One Shot [Video]

Mohbad candlelight in Lekki has turned bloody.

TheTimes reports that the candlelight procession and tribute night for the late Nigerian music singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad at the Leki Toll Gate in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city, turned bloody on Thursday night, September 21, 2023.

This online news online news platform understands that a ye to be identified person has been shot at the ongoing Mohbad candlelight procession in Lekki. It is, however, unclear if the shot was fired by men of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) who had earlier dispersed music fans at the event.

In a video published on the micro-blogging site, X formerly known as Twitter, the person who was shot could be seen on the back of another music fan who was rushing to get the injured person treated.  The person was shot in the right leg.

Meanwhile, TheTimes Nigeria recalls that Mohbad died in the early hours of Tuesday, September 12, 2023. The late Mohbad was buried in the Ikorodu area of Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, amid tears as musicians around the world and Nigerians continue to ask who killed Mohbad.

Before his death on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, Mohbad accused his boss Naira Marley, and the Marlian record label of being after his life.

In a distressing video the singer appeared in before he died, Mohbad could be seen lamenting about his life which may be in danger as he struggles to make a conversation with a group of people.

“I didn’t know these people have been hating on me; they have been doing bad bad things on me. Because of this issue; everybody in the whole world please help me, if I die like this, it is Marlian Music and Naira Marley that killed me…”

Days after his death, his friend, Bella Shmurda in a rant posted on the micro-blogging site, X formerly known as Twitter, noted that Sam Larry and all members of Naira Marley’s record label must be arrested.

Today, Thursday, September 21, 2023, the Lagos State Police Command announced that Mohbad’s corpse had been exhumed and an autopsy carried out to ascertain the cause of Mohbad death.
