Police nab man with 106 mobile phones in Kano

A suspected serial mobile phone thief, Ibrahim Adamu, has been nabbed in Kano state with 106 mobile phones.
In a statement confirming his arrest, the Kano state police spokesperson, SP Abdullahi Kiyawa, said the command was following up on a Public outcry received from the coordinators of Dansulaika GSM Market, Farm Center, Kano.
Recall that unknown persons had on Monday broke into eleven shops through the roof ceilings and stole some Mobile Phones, Desktop and Laptop Computers, some sales Money, ATM cards and other accessories.
The statement further said that a sustained intelligence-led operation was launched that led to the arrest of one Ibrahim Adamu, of Sallari Quarters, Tarauni LGA, Kano.
He mentioned that the suspect confessed to the Police that he singlehandedly committed the offence and led them to the recovery of the One Hundred and Six (106) Mobile Phones, Nine (9) Laptops Computers, Sales Money Sum of One Hundred and Fifteen Thousand Nine Hundred and Forty Naira (N115,940:00), Nine (9) ATM cards, and other accessories.
Kiyawa added that the suspect will be charged to court upon completion of the ongoing.
