The Dune movie, starring Timothée Chalamet as protagonist Paul Atreides, manages to fluidly adapt part of the original 1960s novel for screen, despite its reputation for being "unfilmable" ― however, director Denis Villeneuve's upcoming Dune: Part Two is set to run into issues because of one particularly tricky scene. Dune: Part One follows the first half of the novel, ending after Paul and his mother Jessica have escaped the attack on the Atreides family and joined the Fremen, including love interest Chani (Zendaya). The upcoming Dune: Part Two, though, has a more difficult job, adapting the more complicated second half without missing key Dune book scenes.
