Sony Pictures Television Entertainment has unveiled Nollywood sensational actor, Enyinna Nwigwe as the host of the much-anticipated, globally renowned award-winning American game show, “The Pyramid Game Show Nigeria”, the show would be marking a significant milestone as it makes its African debut.

“This exciting game show was launched recently in Lagos-Nigeria,shortly after Sony Pictures Television Entertainment, obtained it’s franchise.
The Nigerian adaptation of the hugely popular American Pyramid Game Show is set to debut on screens across the country and promises an exciting family time with lots of cash and gifts to be won.
This was revealed during a press briefing where Mekdoss International, the show’s producers in conjunction with Sony Pictures Entertainment also unveiled Nollywood actor, Enyinna Nwigwe as the host of the show.
The ‘Pyramid Game Show Nigeria’ represents the show’s debut in sub-Saharan Africa after four decades. The CEO of Mekdoss International, Martins Gbados, also revealed that the partnership with Sony Pictures Television Entertainment will extend for ten years. He emphasised that the show goes beyond entertainment, stressing that it was a powerful blend of empowerment and education.
“The show is an opportunity to help and empower people,” he said. “It is a CSR-oriented game show where people get to win between N10 million and N15 million as the case may be. And the people helping them play are the celebrities. So for the first time, the celebrities are playing for the regular people to win.
“There is a vacuum in family-oriented game shows where parents and their children can sit and watch a TV show. And that’s the value that ‘Pyramid Game Show Nigeria’ brings to Nigerian society. Apart from the fact that the show is educational, it’s also entertaining. So if you put those three together: family-oriented, educational and entertaining, you see that you already have a game changer right,” he stressed.
CEO of Mekdoss International, Martin Gbados expressed delight and enthusiasm over the show.Stating that the game comes with the promise of delivering not just entertainment or big wins but equally has quality content that fosters family togetherness.
Gbados said that the organization had recognized a gap in the market for family-friendly content, and the Pyramid Game Show sought to fill that void.
“The game show is expected to bring Nigerian content to the forefront, with questions and challenges rooted in Nigerian culture and knowledge. The unique twist lies in the involvement of celebrities, who partner with contestants to help them win a minimum of N10M on a weekly episode. The maximum prize on the show is N15M, and viewers at home can participate through fast SMS trivia competitions.
Furthermore, the show will feature pop-branded fans engaging with the public on the streets, offering a chance for regular people to win prizes. This dynamic approach creates numerous brand opportunities and opens doors for engagement with a diverse audience.
Highlighting the show’s dedication to family-oriented entertainment, Gbados said that the show was introduced with the aim to rekindle the tradition of families gathering to enjoy a program together.
Beyond winning cash prizes, Gbados said the special category of the show, ‘Mystery Seven’, which allows winners to visit any landmark and tourist Nigerian destinations.
“Most Nigerian vacation places have not been explored. So for the next two or three seasons, winners of Mystery Seven will go to a Nigerian destination.”
To ensure that the game meets American standards, the producers from Sony Pictures will be in Nigeria to work with the Nigerian team.
Also, he said that the driving force behind it. “The Pyramid Game Show” to Nigeria, reiterated the show’s commitment to giving back to the community and creating value for companies supporting the endeavor.
“The show is planned to air on over 5 television stations nationwide in prime time. Looking at the present state of the economy, Pyramid Game Show coming to Nigeria is timely and will leave a

Meanwhile, Nollywood actor Eyinna Nwigwe, during his address emphatically said, “It is an incredible honor to be part of such an iconic show that has been loved by audiences around the world for decades.
Nwigwe said that the Pyramid Game Show entertain,rewards and equally brings families together,with exciting prizes. I can’t wait to embark on this journey and create unforgettable moments with our contestants and viewers.

I can’t wait to get on set and get this rolling” , he noted.

‘Pyramid Game Show Nigeria’ is a captivating game of words and wit featuring two teams, each comprising a celebrity and a contestant, with celebrities helping the contestants to win N10 million on each weekly episode. Think of it as a sophisticated game of Charades with much higher stakes. Viewers can actively participate through SMS trivia, while the live audience can join in as well. Additionally, street vox pops will offer more Nigerians the chance to engage with the show.
