President Bola Tinubu has spoken after former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, exposed his alleged forgery saga.
Atiku had obtained the backing of US Courts to get the academic records of Tinubu from the Chicago State University, CSU. After obtaining the records, the Waziri of Adamawa publicly revealed that Tinubu forged the certificate he submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, ahead of the 2023 presidential election. This disclosure has continued to generate mixed reactions among Nigerians and others.
Meanwhile, speaking in a tweet on his official X (Twitter) handle on Monday, Tinubu said he is focused on his mandate to move Nigeria forward.
“Moving Nigeria Forward. Received a briefing from SGF Akume at the State House this morning. All hands must be on deck in the great task of positioning our dear nation for progress,” the president tweeted.
Tinubu had maintained his silence since the saga started to unfold. However, with this his latest disclosure, it seems that the President is not bothered so much about the issue but he is more focused on running the affairs of the country than engaging his opponents.
