The sealing up of the mosque and Lagos churches over noise pollution came as an Area Court sitting at Centre-Igboro, Ilorin, on Thursday remanded a teenager, Kabir Musa, 18, in Borstal Training Institution over drug addiction.

The presiding Judge, Hammad Ajumobi, issued the order after the defendant pleaded guilty, saying that it is due to peer group influence.

The court stated that the defendant be enrolled for basic education knowledge and trained on any vocational skill of his choice during the period.

Earlier, the parents of the defendant told the court that Kabir is stubborn, drinks alcohol, smoke cigarettes and engage in fighting at the neighbourhood always.
