Plateau: Mutfwang harps on unity, assures pilgrims of support

Plateau state governor, Caleb Mutfwang, said his administration is dedicated to supporting pilgrimage, just as he tasked staff of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC) to work in love and unity.

Governor Mutfwang made the call, Monday, at the opening of the 2023 retreat of the NCPC staff with the theme: “Leadership Transformation for Strategic Productivity” held at Crispan Suits, Jos.

He said: “Our government attaches great importance to the spiritual lives of citizens; we are therefore reiterating our utmost dedication to supporting pilgrimage and your activities.”

Represented by the state Commissioner for Justice, Chris Dafe, Mutfwang said the theme of the retreat highlighted the Commission’s commitment to adopt a paradigm shift in leadership approaches, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and effectiveness.

“It is through such transformational leadership that we can create positive change and achieve our goals,” he said.

Mutfwang stressed that they are all part of a larger vision, working towards advancing the cause of Christian pilgrimage in Nigeria.

“This retreat presents us with a unique opportunity to discuss and appreciate the challenges facing the Commission, as well as to bond with one another,” he said.
