We’ll complete Akeredolu’s unfinished project, re engineer road infrastructure – Aiyedatiwa

Ondo State governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has assured his commitment to fulfilling the late former governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu’s vision by prioritising the completion of his projects.

 Aiyedatiwa gave the assurance while inspecting two ongoing road projects in Akure.

The projects are Oda road dualization and the flyover at Onyearugbulem/Irese road.

 He equally promised that his administration will re-engineer road Infrastructure in the state starting from Akure, the state capital.

 Few weeks ago, the governor had ordered contractors handling road projects across the state to immediately resume work to ensure timely completion of the projects.

 Aiyedatiwa pledged the government’s support to contractors to ensure the timely completion.

 Emphasizing the importance of completing the Oda road before the rainy season, Aiyedatiwa reiterated his administration’s commitment to alleviating traffic congestion and improving road connectivity with the project.

 He commended the dedication of the contractors and the community to the project, acknowledging the late governor’s initiative with the project and reassured prompt completion.

 Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Engr Allen Idowu, affirmed that significant strides have been made on the projects.

 Idowu attributed the improved pace to well-organised mobilisation efforts, adding that the projects gained momentum, with contractors resuming to work after the governor’s encouragement.

 Speaking on the flyover, Idowu indicated a 40% completion milestone, outlining the completion of foundation work and the erection of piers.
