Corio was desperate to prove his worth, and establish a life for himself and his family in the Capitol which resembled the life they lost after their father died. Through his determination and charm, he was able to change everything, but the price for those changes was high.

Exploring where his life goes from the end of the prequel to the start of the later films provides opportunities to see him stepping up and leading the Hunger Games, getting involved in politics, extending his sphere of influence whilst accumulating greater wealth. This would be a thoroughly interesting and compelling story to expand on and there are so many different angles to approach how his story continues.

7 Lucy Gray Baird

Maude Ivory Baird was another member of the Covey, and a cousin of Lucy Gray’s. In the movie she is seen to be about 8 or 9 years old, so presumably she is one of the characters that could survive until the events of the original movies. Maude is also one of the characters who had a close connection to, and history with, Lucy Gray. Even if Lucy Gray does not return in a future sequel, a character like Maude Ivory could help to bridge the gap.

Potentially, she could be desperately searching for information about what happened to her cousin, or trying to cling to the hope that she was alive, and choose to embark on a search across the districts for her. Maude Ivory could conceivably become a pivotal part of any future installments, as she would have reasons to have complex negative feelings about Coriolanus and his rise to power. As a result, she could become an active part of the rebellion that fights against him and the Capitol.

Tigris is one of the few surviving family members that Corio has left after the First Rebellion. While her family had been obscenely wealthy in her early life, she, Corio, and their grandmother were almost destitute by the time the 10th Hunger Games were underway. Tigris and her family were close, but as Corio began to change, a distance grew between them. Her fate as a survivor who continues living and working in the Capitol until the Second Rebellion occurs more than 60 years later is shown in the original films when she aids Katniss.

Tigris is still living with her cousin by the film’s end, and so the rift which grows between them could be explored in a sequel. Tigris also becomes a successful fashion designer, and she undergoes a tremendous amount of cosmetic surgery to alter her appearance to look like a tiger. 3 Lucky Flickerman

Lucretious ‘Lucky’ Flickerman and the child who was most likely Caeser Flickerman are staples in the Hunger Games franchise. Lucky was the original host and announcer for early Hunger Games events, interviewing guests, announcing the bloody action live, and providing critical commentary throughout. In the original movies, Caeser Flickerman reveals that he has hosted the Hunger Games for about 40 years at the time of the 74th Annual Hunger Games. This likely means that Lucky was the host until around the 30th Hunger Games or later, before handing down the position to his son.

A sequel film would most likely need to include another Hunger Games event, potentially a Quarter Quell, which happens every 25 years, or mark a notable period in the history of the games. Of course, wherever the games are being played, a Flickerman will be needed to host and broadcast the gory action to the entire of Panem. Clemensia is one of the students from the Capitol Academy who studied alongside young Snow. She possesses a great deal of ambition, and when an opportunity arises to make herself stand out to Dr. Gaul, she leaps at it. Despite Snow doing all the work on the special assignment, Clemensia decides to take the credit for the project, pretending she was instrumental in coming up with the plans.

However, Gaul sees through her lies and swiftly punishes her actions in a way that could have proven fatal. While her life was left hanging in the balance with no confirmation in the movie, Clemensia did survive the snake attack in the novel, and she returned to the Academy. She could provide another contrast to Snow, or a character who finally sees the error of their ways and chooses to live better and more honestly.

Lysistrata is an interesting character with a clear connection and history with Snow, and having her return in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes 2 would be a great way to expand on the character of Snow from another angle.
