Again, Commissioner For Housing Resigns Amid Rivers Crisis

The Rivers State Commissioner for Housing and one of the strong loyalists of the immediate past governor of the state, Nyesom Wike, Gift Worlu has resigned from Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s government.

Worlu’s resignation is contained in a letter dated Wednesday, May 15 and directed to Governor Fubara, through the office of the Secretary to the State government.

New Telegraph reports that Worlu’s resignation is coming hours after the Commissioner for Education, Prince Chinedu Mmon also bowled out of the State Executive Council (SEC).

The development has, however, made Worlu the second commissioner to resign from the state cabinet today.
