The classic holiday-themed slasher film My Bloody Valentine is getting yet another remake, this time from the powerhouse production company Blumhouse. Released in 1981, the original My Bloody Valentine is a quintessential entry in the mystery slasher genre and follows a group of young adults who throw a party on Valentine’s Day. Unfortunately for them, an ax-wielding murderer in mining gear decides to crash their party and slash through the various sinful revelers. Though the slasher market had already been thoroughly inundated by 1981, My Bloody Valentine kept things fresh with unique kills and an interesting change of location.
