Police arrest man for allegedly killing friend in Kano

The Kano State Police Command said it arrested a man identified as Sadiq Zubairu for murdering his friend.

Kano Police Command in a statement revealed that Zubairu collected three million Naira from his friend under the pretext that he would secure an offer of appointment for him.

“Instead, he conspired with two other persons and lured him into his house where they jointly killed him and made away with his motor vehicle Toyota Corolla 2015 in addition to the money,” the police said.

In a related development, a security expert in the Northern region of Nigeria, Zagazola Makama said a family member of the deceased contacted him on the story.

“Regarding the story of the guy that killed his friend, his name is Sadiq Jibrin and the deceased is Bello Bukar Adamu,” Makama said on his X handle.

“He lied to Bello (his former colleague at KEDCO) that he will help him secure employment with the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).”

Makama added that after some weeks without the job offer and no money returned, there was pressure from Bello on Sadiq.

The security expert said that was when Sadiq invited Bello to his house and carried out the heinous act.
