Tinubu returns to Nigeria after Europe trip — Presidency

PRESIDENT Bola Tinubu and his aides have today arrived back in Nigeria from their trip to Europe, according to a statement from the Presidency.

This was revealed by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, who welcomed the President upon his return to the country.

“Welcome Home Mr President!,” he wrote.

President Tinubu had embarked on his journey over two weeks ago for a meeting with the Dutch Prime Minister, Mark Rutte, before proceeding to Saudi Arabia to participate in a special World Economic Forum (WEF). Following the summit, he traveled to Europe.

Recall that on April 22, the President left Abuja for The Netherlands on an official visit, as confirmed by the Presidential Spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, who stated that the visit was at the invitation of Prime Minister Mark Rutte. After his engagements in The Netherlands, Tinubu continued his trip to Riyadh in Saudi Arabia for the special WEF meeting held between April 28 and 29.

The president was expected back in the country after the forum in Saudi Arabia, but he did not return, fueling speculations about his whereabouts.
