Bauchi hajj camp unbeatable, says NAHCON boss

The chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Alhaji Jalal Ahmad Arabi, has described the Bauchi state ultra-modern Sultan Saad Abubakar Hajj Camp, constructed by Governor Bala Mohammed as unbeatable among other camps across the federation.

Arabi was speaking when he paid a visit to the Ultra Modern Hajji Transit Camp in Bauchi to see for himself the nature of the edifice.  He acknowledged the contribution of Governor Bala towards the wellbeing of intending pilgrims, describing it as one of the best in the country.

The NAHCON boss noted that Governor Bala is a patriotic human being, and prayed Almighty Allah to reward him abundantly for the building of a befitting hajj pilgrims transit camp for the state.

“I am not surprised to say that this is what I call an elder brother. I know his capacity, I know his capability, but most importantly, I know his patriotism. I know how he takes things, just as he respects other beliefs, but seeing this edifice confirms what I have for him, so I don’t take anything less from him than near perfection,” he said.

On the 2024 hajj exercise, Arabi congratulated the  Bauchi state Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board for timely and successful airlift of all its  2024 intending pilgrims to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia within a very short period without any hitches.

The executive secretary, Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Imam Abdurrahman Idris, earlier expressed his happiness for the visit. He said  the visit was an honour of Bauchi state.

On the secret behind the successful airlift of Bauchi pilgrims to Saudi Arabia, Imam Idris attributed it to early preparation and securing visa on time.
