Georgia shock Portugal to advance to the 1/8 finals

Georgia records historic 1st victory in European competition.

Georgia won against Portugal led by Cristiano Ronaldo 2-0 at Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen as that was historic 1st win at Euro or World Cup for the nation and also historic 1st advantage to the elimination phase in such tournament.

Georgia and Napoli superstar Khvicha Kvaratskhelia secured the lead with the 5th fastest goal in Euro competition as he needed only 2 minutes as the assist provided Georges Mikautadze.
