KPF condemns resurgence of security challenges in Kano
The Kano Patriotic Front (KPF) has expressed its strong dismay and condemnation over the recent resurgence of security challenges in Kano state, particularly the frequent Yandaba attacks that have resulted in loss of lives and properties.
In a statement signed by Major General I. Sani (rtd) and Alhaji Ahmed Shehu Yakasai Tuesday, the group urged the Kano state government and security agencies to intensify their efforts to put an end to the attacks on innocent citizens.
The KPF also called on parents, community elders, and the general public to partner with the government and security agencies to address the issue.
They stated the importance of parents taking full responsibility for the upbringing of their children to minimise juvenile delinquency.
Furthermore, the group urged security agencies to trace and apprehend hoodlums within communities and ensure they face the consequences of their actions within the law.
The statement said the recent security challenges are against the norms and values of the Kano people, and the group is committed to promoting peace and stability in the state.
