La Liga: Sevilla state reasons for signing Super Eagles player, Chidera Ejuke

Victor Orta Sevilla sporting director, has stated why the club signed Nigerian Midfielder, Chidera Ejuke.

It would be recalled that the Rojiblancos announced Ejuke’s arrival at the club on Monday.

The Nigeria international joined the former UEFA Europa League on a free transfer after running down his contract at the Russian club, CSKA Moscow.

The winger was introduced to the fans on Wednesday (Today)

Orta insisted that the Nigerian is exactly what the club needs in a winger.

“We knew Ejuke since he arrived in Europe and we were surprised by his loan in November. We discovered that he was free, we followed him weekly and we were convinced by his personality and all the information we needed,” Orta was quoted by the club’s official website

“We also spoke with the coach (Quique Sánchez Flores), who gives a lot of importance to the wingers, to speed, etc.; and these are characteristics that Chidera has. He presses well after the loss of a ball as well and we had to move quickly because he was free.”
