Sokoto State University Undergraduate Programs Get Full Accreditation

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted full accreditation to all 18 undergraduate programs offered by Sokoto State University (SSU).

The development is seen as demonstrative of the university’s commitment to academic excellence and its ability to produce graduates who can compete globally.

The accredited programs include Computer Science, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Microbiology, Economics, Political Science, Sociology, Arabic, Hausa, History, Islamic Studies, Education Computer Science, Education Mathematics, Education Physics, Education Biology, and Education Chemistry.

The Vice-Chancellor of SSU, Professor Bashir Garba, expressed his gratitude to the NUC for the accreditation and acknowledged the support of the Sokoto State Government, the university’s founder and former governor, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, and development partners like TETFund.

He also praised the contributions of the university’s management, staff, students, and other stakeholders.

This achievement marks a significant milestone for the university which strives to become a beacon of academic excellence in the north.

The VC said the university is committed to investments in its programs and infrastructure to provide quality education and produce graduates who can make a meaningful impact in their chosen fields.
