Binos distributes farm inputs, cash to over 300 farmers
As part of efforts to boost food production amid food inflation, the senator representing Adamawa South, Binos Dauda Yaroe, has distributed farm inputs and gifted N6 million to over 300 farmers in Adamawa South senatorial district.
Speaking at the distribution exercise, Wednesday in Mayo Belwa local government area, Sebator Binos explained that the gesture was part of his constituency projects put in the budget to bring succour to peasant farmers and boost food production in his constituency.
He further explained that his decision to include this intervention in his constituency projects was due to the importance he attached to the agricultural sector, taking into consideration the fact that most people in his district are peasant farmers, who depend mostly on agriculture for their survival.
The senator further noted that this was just the first phase of the distribution across the 9 local government areas that make up his senatorial district, with the second phase of the exercise coming up in few days from now.
According to him, he was elected by his people to give them effective representation and to champion their course for equity, fairness and justice, and therefore, he would not disappoint their expectations. He called on the beneficiaries to use the items for the purposes there were meant for.
Also speaking, the representative of the Rockland Synergy Concept Limited, the contracting firm, Yahuza Mohammed, commended Senator Binos for his love to his people and superlative performance at the Senate so far, and urged him not to relent.
A cross section of beneficiaries interviewed thanked the lawmaker for his people centred representation and assured him of their continuous support, solidarity and prayers at all times to enable him succeed.
