Cobra Kai Explains What Happened To A Forgotten Character

Summary

  • Aisha Robinson’s absence in Cobra Kai season 3 was explained by her moving to a new school following the school brawl in season 2.
  • Sam mentions in season 6 that Aisha was accepted to the University of California, Santa Cruz, showing her character’s progress.
  • Fans speculate that Aisha may make a return in the final episodes of season 6, possibly in the upcoming Sekai Taikai tournament.

Cobra Kai slowly forgot about Aisha Robinson, but season 6 has subtly revealed what has happened to her since she left. There are dozens of characters in Cobra Kai, and it seemed for a time that new ones were coming in from all directions. This made it difficult to keep track of everyone’s stories, and, as a result, Aisha fell to the wayside. Actor Nicole Brown didn’t return to the Netflix series in season 3, which was a significant disappointment since Aisha was a well-loved original character. However, she was at least mentioned in Cobra Kai season 6.

The last Brown’s Aisha was seen on screen was during the school fight at the end of Cobra Kai season 2. She was among the Cobra Kai students fighting the Miyagi-Dos in the hallways, but she had disappeared when the series returned in season 3. According to Brown, there wasn’t room for the character anymore, with so many new faces added to the mix in season 3. Aisha’s absence was easy enough to explain since it made sense that her parents would move her to a different school following the big school brawl. However, losing out on Aisha’s story was still a bummer.

Looks Like Sam & Aisha Are Still In Touch

Aisha from Cobra Kai

In Cobra Kai season 6, episode 5, “Best of the Best,” Sam tells Miguel that she had heard that Aisha was accepted to the University of California, Santa Cruz. It was only a brief, passing comment, but it does reveal a fair bit about the character. It seems that, despite all the dojo drama of season 2, Aisha was able to get her life back together at her new school. Additionally, this indicates that Aisha and Sam worked out their differences and have maintained contact with one another over the last couple of years. Since they had been childhood friends, this is reassuring to hear.

Of course, audiences still don’t know a lot about Aisha. It’s unclear if she continued karate after the school fight or whether her parents made her quit for the same reason they made her switch schools. If she were still doing karate, then it’s possible Aisha could make a return sometime in the remaining episodes of Cobra Kai season 6.

The Return Of Past Cobra Kai Characters Would Be A Great Send-Off

Aisha return Cobra kai season 4

It seems that Aisha was cut to make room for other Cobra Kai characters. However, the showrunners might have underestimated how much audiences would miss her. Aisha has been a topic of conversation among fans ever since she left, with a lot of speculation about whether her character could ever make a return. Now that Cobra Kai is in its final season, there is limited time to make this happen. However, with the Sekai Taikai in the coming episodes, it certainly seems that this is possible.

Sam bringing up Aisha in Cobra Kai season 6, part 1, might have been the series way of setting up her the character’s return. Perhaps she will be a contender in the Sekai Taikai. Or, with many of her old friends competing in the tournament, she may come to Spain to cheer them on. It would be a nice way to bring some of the nostalgic elements of the early episodes of Cobra Kai back into play before giving all the characters a final send-off.
