The Bauchi state government Thursday said there will be no room for any form of protest anywhere in the state.
Addressing a press conference at the Government House, Bauchi, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Ibrahim Kashim, said the state government will not fold its arms and allow the protest to hold.
He said the Bauchi state government is not aware nor welcoming the idea of holding any protest in the state and warned those planning to protest in Bauchi to give it a second thought before attempting to organise any demonstration.
Kashim declared that the government will not tolerate anything that could lead to breakdown of law and order, dismissed rumours that Primary Health Care Centres would be closed down across the state to prevent them from being vandalised by protesters.
He stated that the government of Bauchi state had no knowledge of or involvement in the decision, adding that the claims are being investigated with a view to punishing the mastermind of the false information.
