Diri congratulates new Head of Service Didi Walson-Jack, applauds Tinubu
The Bayelsa state governor, Senator Douye Diri, has expressed delight over the appointment of seasoned administrator, Dame Didi Esther Walson-Jack, as Head of the Civil Service of the Federation by President Bola Tinubu.
Governor Diri said Thursday that the news of her appointment Wednesday was heartwarming, well received and it brought joy to the people of Bayelsa state and the Ijaw nation in general.
While congratulating the new appointee, the Bayelsa governor described Walson-Jack as a distinguished civil servant with an exceptional public service career.
“Your appointment as the new Head of the Civil Service of the Federation is a significant milestone in your public service career.
“The government and people of Bayelsa state, and, indeed, the Ijaw nation are excited about this remarkable advancement and achievement of a worthy daughter of our state and the Ijaw nation.
“Your dedication and excellent performance in every office you have held stood you out and we are particularly grateful to Mr. President for recognising competence, hard- work and distinction in your choice.”
