Euro 2024: Spain zoom into final, defeat France 2-1

The La Roja of Spain on Tuesday night zoomed into the final of the ongoing Euro 2024 tournament after defeating France 2-1 at the Munich Arena in Germany.

8th minute through Randal Kolo Muani but Lamine Yamal and Dani Olmo reacted quickly with two goals in the first half to turn the table around for Spain

16-year -oldย  Yamal scored a wondergoal to become the youngest scorer in menโ€™s European Championship history.

The youngster fired a stunning strike into the top cover from outside the penalty area to equalise after Randal Kolo Muaniโ€™s early opener in the semi-final in Munich.

Teammate, Olmo then struck moments later to give Spain the lead, as his goal-bound shot deflected in off France defender Jules Kounde to go past Maignan in goal.

A tight affair in the second half saw the two teams manage few shots on target each.

All efforts to score on both ends proved abortive in the second 45 minutes of the thrilling encounter.

The result meant Spain will face either of England or Netherlands who play in the second semi -final on Wednesday.

The Euro 2024 final will be played in Munich on Sunday, July 14th.
