Group inspects zonal intervention projects in Lampo, Gadaka communities

A Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) Project Trust Tuesday conducted a community outreach in Lampo and Gadaka community to track zonal intervention projects.

The projects includes; block of classrooms in Lampo constructed at the rate of N25,000,000 million by NBC and Gadaka regional water supply in Gadaka community at the rate of N 100,000,000 million by the federal ministry of Water Resources.

The exercise carried out by Community of Practice (CoP) led by Bilyaminu Sulaiman meet with the stakeholders at the communities before moving to the primary school where the project has been awarded.

The team however said the construction work for the block of classrooms does not meet the expected standards.

“The building materials used are substandard that’s why the structural integrity of the constructed classrooms is questionable because it has fallen short of expectations.

“The substandard construction of the classrooms has left the community disappointed and without access to basic amenities”, the team leader said.
