The Navy Out Post (NOP) in Idah local government area of Kogi state on Tuesday offered free medical treatment to over 600 residents under its 2024 Operation Delta Sanity II of the Nigerian Navy.
Declaring the programme open in Idah, the Commanding Officer NOP , Commander Nelson Oyagha, said the free medical rhapsody was a directive from the Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla, that the Naval Out Post should extend hands of fellowship to the host community.
According to him, the NOP Idah has been committed to not only ensuring the security and safety of our nation, but also contributing to the welfare and well-being of the nation citizens.
โOur presence here today is a testament to that commitment. We recognize the importance of good health and the critical role it plays in building a strong, vibrant, and resilient community.
โIt is against the foregoing that this civil-military activities is conducted in line with the Chief of Naval staffย Vice Admiral E.I Ogallaโs Directive of a Non-Kinetic measure in the ongoing Operation Delta Sanity II.
โOur team of dedicated medical professionals is here to provide free medical tests and consultations, ensuring that everyone has access to essential healthcare services. While commending tje locals and community leaders in Idah for their cooperation and support in making this outreach possible, Commander
Oyagha, urged them to take full advantage of the services provided to improve in their health status.
Mrs Ogungbero Foluke a registered nurse/midwife in her health talks to the people of the community, urged them to imbibed the spirit of personal hygiene to avoid prevailing diseases that can cost them their lives.
โAs part of your personal hygiene, you should washed your hands when ever you visit toilet, wash fruits before you consume it and keep your environment clean at all time.
โThese health tips will go a long to improve your health condition. Shun alcoholic consumption, avoid too much intake of salt and ensure you eat balance diet to nourish your bodyโ she advised.
