Pasuma, MC Oluomo, Nollywood stars show support to Faithia Williams at her father’s burial (Video)

Yoruba Nollywood stars stood up in large numbers for their colleague, Faithia Williams, as she laid her father to rest.

Kemi Filani reported in April that Faithia had lost her father to death. She announced his demise on her Instagram page, as she expressed sadness over his death and prayed his soul rests in peace. A week later, the movie star had laid him to rest according to Islamic culture with few of her colleagues in attendance and had penned an appreciation note to the public.

On Sunday, July 21st, 2024, Faithia held his final burial in Ikorodu, Lagos State, with many colleagues showing up for her.

Spotted at the event were legendary Fuji singer Pasuma, Former NURTW chairman MC Oluomo, Iyabo Ojo, Mercy Aigbe and husband Kazim Adeoti, Saidi Balogun, Seyi Edun, Femi Adebayo, Ijebu, Adebayo Salami, Biola Bayo, Liz Anjorin and husband, Yomi Fash Lanso, Bimbo Oshin, Bimbo Thomas, and Kunle Afod.

Also spotted at the event were Omowunmi Ajiboye, Dele Odule, Yinka Quadri ,Bimpe Akintunde, Toks Barbie, Kiitan Bukola, Hadiza Abubakar, Toyosi Adesanya, Peju Ajiboye, Yewande Adekola Abiodun, Bimbo Oshin and more.

It isn’t surprising to see the Yoruba industry stand up for Faithia Williams, as over the years, the ex-wife of Saidi Balogun has won the hearts of her colleagues with her sweetheart.

In celebration of Faithia Williams’s birthday in February, Chioma Akpotha emotionally recounted her good deeds to her and her son. She recalled Faithia being there for her and her son when they went on a Nollywood trip to the UK, Chioma’s first trip outside Nigeria.

Similarly, her junior colleague, Kemi Korede, had penned an appreciation note to Faithia Williams, recounting how Faithia stood by her and honoured her birthday invitation. She recalled the sweet surprise the veteran actress gave her to mark her new age.
