Bauchi releases N323m for 2024 PHC MoU contribution fund 

The Bauchi State Task Force on Primary Healthcare Wednesday said   the state government has released the sum N323 million into the state PHC MoU account as part of its 2024 MoU contribution for the delivery of primary healthcare services.

To this end, the Primary Healthcare Task Force promised a high level oversight as part of ongoing efforts towards achieving universal healthcare coverage in the state.

The state’s deputy governor who is the chairman of the task force, Auwal Jatau,  stated this at the quarter two 2024 meeting of the task force held at the conference hall of his office, Government House, Bauchi.

Jatau noted that the meeting would afford members of the committee to discuss extensively on the challenges relating to healthcare services, as well as work out modalities of ensuring accountability and high-level oversight on primary healthcare service delivery.

“The administration of my principal, Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, is committed towards providing the necessary resources and support for delivery of healthcare services across all levels through initiating laudable programmes and investments that will improve the health condition of our people,” he said.

The deputy governor appreciated members of the Task Force Committee, particularly the traditional leaders and the development partners for their tireless efforts at assisting the state government to deliver on its mandate.

The co-chair of the task force who is the emir of Dass, Alhaji Usman Bilyaminu Othman, reiterated the unwavering commitment of traditional institutions towards supporting primary healthcare activities for improved service delivery.
