BREAKING: PDP Suspends Ex-Oyinlola’s Chief Of Staff Over Alleged Anti-Party

The ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Osun State, has suspended former Chief of Staff to Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Peter Babalola, over alleged anti-party activities.

THE WHISTLER recalled that Babalola was the Chief of Staff to Prince Oyinlola when he was the governor of the state.

Meanwhile, he left PDP for All Progressives Congress (APC) before he later returned to PDP in 2018 with his former boss, Oyinlola.

A letter of Babalola’s suspension which was obtained by THE WHISTLER on Tuesday was signed by the Ward Executives of the ex-Chief of Staff.

The letter dated August 27th 2024 was titled ‘Suspension of Elder Peter Adebayo Babalola From PDP Ward 07, Irewole Local Government, Osun State’ was signed by the chairman of the Ward, Odelade Adesoye, Adegboye Adewumi, Badmus Mutaleeb and others.

The letter read, “After an exhaustive deliberations on the various anti-Party activities of Elder Peter Babalola in the PDP for the past two years, and his habitual engagements in various activities that can put the party into dis-repute, coupled with the fact that he has not attended the PDP ward meeting or Local Government meeting in the last two years, the executive of PDP in Ward 07, Irewole Local government hereby suspend Elder Peter Adebayo Babalola from PDP ward 07, Irewole Local Government with effect today 27th August, 2024.

“By this suspension, Elder Peter Adebayo Babalola ceased to be a member of PDP ward 07, Irewole Local Government.”

Until Babalola’s suspension, he was the Chairman of the College of Education, Ila-Orangun, Osun State as appointed by Governor Ademola Adeleke.

Babalola could not be reached for comments and no member of his camp was available for comment.
