Day 7 of nationwide protest: Heavy security beef up at Three Arms zone, Nigeria’s seat of power+Photos

…from Ahmadu Bello Way to Shehu Shagari Way, motorists barred from entering zone

As the nationwide protest enters day seven, the Three Arms zone, harbouring the Judiciary, Executive and Legislative arms of government remain heavily guarded by soldiers and anti-riot policemen.

TheNewsGuru.com, (TNG) reports that from Ahmadu Bello Way, an adjoining access to Shagari Way, security operatives positioned at different locations stood guard.

Motorists coming from Wuse 2 to access Ahmadu Bello Way have to go through one way before linking Shagari Way which has heavy presence of security operatives.

The Federal Secretariat looks like a haunted ghost town as only government vehicles are allowed entry through Shagari Way after proper identification.

TNG recalls that after President Bola Tinubu’s telecast last Thursday where he begged protesters to withdraw from the streets, protesters in Rivers State, Jigawa, Yobe and Kano still went ahead to attack properties of politicians.
