#EndBadGovernment: Security operatives hold show of strength parade in Osun 

Security operatives Wednesday held a show of strength parade  in apparent preparation for the #EndBadGovernment# protest slated for Thursday August 1, 2024.

The operatives who are majorly soldiers, police, civil defence corps and DSS, moved round Osogbo, the state capital in a show of strength.

They were in different vehicles numbering about 12 and heavily armed in their convoy.

The operatives moved round some major places where protests usually hold in the state with their siren attracting attention of passersby.

The spokesperson of Osun police command, Yemisi Opalola, said it was a show to send warning to hoodlums who might be planning to disrupt the peace of the state in the name of protest.

She said: “The team is on a show of strength across the state capital to serve as warning for unscrupulous elements who may want to infiltrate tomorrow’s protest with a view to hijacking it.

“We are sending signal that there is no room for criminals to hijack the protest. The protest would have protection and other citizens would be adequately protected as well.”
