In a remarkable display of corporate generosity, the Chairman of IAS Unique Homes and Property, Ayobami Adelani, popularly known as Oba Pedepede, on Sunday, rewarded seven of his most outstanding employees with land properties worth over N10 million.
The gifts were presented at Blue Stone Estate, Irebamiloni, in the Wasimi area of Ogun State, as part of an annual tradition aimed at recognizing and compensating exceptional dedication and hard work.
Adelani, during the award ceremony, emphasised the importance of acknowledging the commitment of his staff, which he described as vital to the continued success of the organization.
“Every year, I make it a point to recognize the hard work of our staff.
“This year, however, I decided to go a step further by rewarding the most outstanding among them in a grand manner,” he stated.
He further highlighted the motivation behind his generous gesture, noting that the high cost of land could be prohibitive for many, making this gift not only a reward but a crucial financial support for his employees.
“Only seven staff members met the criteria for this gift. We do this to help our staff because, realistically, their salaries alone may not suffice to purchase land unless they resort to dishonest means, which we do not encourage,” Adelani added.
The event attracted a distinguished gathering of guests, including the CEO of IAS, Princess Abiola Adesewa Adelani, the Chairman of Katawa Properties, Chief Taiwo Kadri; former president of Freelance and Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria, Comrade Desmond Nwachukwu; Alhaji Gbenga Oladunni Adebayo, popularly known as Imalian Man; Mr. Kola Adeleye; Mr. Fasunle Makinde, a popular radio presenter; and Mr. Wole Papa, also known as Mr. Lecturer.
Other notable attendees were Alhaji Abdul Sakurudeen Akorede, Governor ISMAN, Mr. Olumeto, and Alhaji Abdul Kabir Bukola Alayande, popularly known as Ere Asalatu.
Chief Kadri, in his remarks, lauded the dedication of the staff and encouraged them to continue demonstrating commitment to excellence.
He urged them to remain disciplined and make valuable sacrifices, reminding them that hard work and dedication always yield positive outcomes.
“What goes around comes around. Whatever you sow, you shall reap. Do not repay good deeds with evil,” Kadri advised.
He also heaped praise on Adelani, celebrating his innovative spirit and courageous approach to business. Kadri described Adelani as “the best risk-taker in the world,” noting his large heart and remarkable generosity.
“Oba is very creative and brave. His philanthropic gestures are commendable,” he said.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Ajayi Olubode expressed profound gratitude to Adelani and the management of IAS Unique Homes and Property.
“We are very grateful for the land given to us at Blue Stone Estate, Irebamiloni. This is a significant blessing for my family and me,” Olubode said.
Another beneficiary, Bukola Aregbesola, echoed these sentiments, expressing her excitement and honour at being selected.
“I appreciate the chairman and the management of IAS Unique Homes and Property. This is something I never dreamed about. The grace of God found me, and I am amazed. I pray that IAS Unique Homes and Property continues to grow higher,” Aregbesola stated.
