NYSC declares A’Ibom coordinator, driver missing

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Wednesday declared Mr. Okun Christopher, Akwa-Ibom state coordinator, and Mr. Daniel Effiong Asibong, a driver missing.

Mr Okun and the driver were said to have gone missing between Delta and Akwa-Ibom state on Monday, July 29, 2024.

A press statement issued by the director of Information and Public Relations of the scheme, Eddy Megwa, said the duo were on transit to Uyo, Akwa-Ibom state in a white official Hillux vehicle with registration number, 27D31FG when the unfortunate incident happened.

The statement added that all efforts to locate the whereabouts of the officers yielded no result till date.

The NYSC appealed to the general public with useful information regarding their whereabouts to contact any of the 37 NYSC state secretariats, area offices and the National Directorate Headquarters in Abuja, or the nearest Police station, or other security agencies.
