Police Clamp Down On Edo Tinted Glasses, Wrapped Number Plate Vehicles

The Edo State Police Command has said it will arrest drivers with tinted glasses on their cars and wrapped number plate vehicles as well as unregistered ones across the state.

The order issued by the Commissioner of Police, Iwo Nemi on Wednesday was contained in a press statement by the command’s spokesperson, Moses Yamu.

The commissioner stated that the strategy aims to address the increasing incidents of kidnapping, robbery, and cult activities within the state.

In addition, he ordered the confiscation of such vehicles and emphasised that the law would be enforced rigorously and without exception.

He further cautioned the public through this notice to refrain from utilising these vehicles to prevent arrest, as the law applies equally to all individuals, and no one will be exempted.

He additionally urged the citizens of the state to collaborate with law enforcement in their efforts to safeguard the lives and property of the public, particularly during this critical time leading up to the election.
