“Single motherhood isn’t a life-threatening disease” – Sunmbo Adeoye tells men as she encourages single parents
Sunmbo Adeoye, the wife of a clergyman, pastor David Adeoye and the mother of two of legendary singer 2face’s seven children has sent a message to single parents.
Taking to her Instagram page, the mother of four stated that single motherhood isn’t a life-threatening nor a contagious spell. In a message to men running away from dating single mothers, she told them they don’t become unfortunate for loving a single mother and supporting her to raise her children.
In a message to single parents, she told them that if the person approaching them is judging them by such a label, then they don’t deserve to marry them.
“Single motherhood is not a life-threatening disease, neither is it a contagious spell. You don’t become unfortunate for loving her and supporting them to raise her children. No!!
I just felt the need to encourage a single parent out there who desires a fresh start.
If that person approaching you is judging you by the label, they don’t deserve to marry you.
Refurbished Hope For a Fresh Start is a memoir I wrote to reignite your hope and the latest on my table, LovingUnconditionallybySunmboAdeoye, is out soon.
Wait for it, it will surely come.”.
In July of 2023, while Sunmbo and her husband celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary, she appreciated him for embracing her and her two sons and accepting them with open arms.
In a later post, she sang the praises of her husband, expressing her feelings for him and showing him her appreciation. The pastor’s wife who is in awe of her man, considers him her divine compensation and biggest gift from God.
A few weeks back, Sunmbo had said a word of prayer for single parents. She admonished single parents not to be bothered about who will be a parent, friend and mentor to their kids. She noted how God, who knows the end from the very beginning, already has a supernatural arrangement planned out and will send The One in due season
Using herself as an example, she prayed that as God gave her boys the greatest mentor, God would answer the prayers of single mothers over their kids.
Early this month, Sunmbo reflected on her growth. She shared her before photos, as she noted how 19 years ago, she joined Royalty Christian Centre, Lagos, lost but hopeful, and today, she is who she is by the special grace of God and through the power of His Word.
Sunmbo stated that she was amazed at how much she has grown under the leadership of her husband and Pastor.
