Don’t Implement 10% VAT, tax consultant cautions FG

Former Commissioner for Finance in Ogun state and founder/president International Centre for Tax Research and Development, Mrs Morenike Babington –Ashaye, Thursday,  advised the federal government against implementing the newly increased 10 percent Value Added Tax (VAT), c warning  that implementing it will create more economic problem for Nigerians.

She stated   this Thursday in Lagos  when introducing a book she wrote titled: “Natural World Restoration” a compilation of what she said God revealed to her about the development in the world and the plan of God to restore natural world order between 2024 to 2030,just as she suggested that the book should be read along with the 10 commandments God gave to the world.

Mrs Babington – Ashaye noted that to increase the VAT from 7.5 to 10 percent shows that the federal government is not sensitive to the plight of Nigerians.

She said the 7.5 increment is still creating  problems, not to talk of increasing it to 10 percent.
