Imo CP Leads Manhunt For Fleeing Attackers Of Njaba Police HQ
Imo State Commissioner Of Police (CP), Aboki Danjuma is personally leading an operation to capture fleeing suspects that were involved in a foiled attack on Njaba Divisional Police Headquarters on Sunday.
THE WHISTLER reports that gunmen suspected to be members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its militia arm, Eastern Security Network (ESN) on Sunday attacked Njaba Police Divisional Headquarter but met a stiff resistance from the men of the police which led to the death of three of the assailant.
According to the Command’s Spokesperson, Henry Okoye on Monday, the CP is leading the operation personally in company of the Deputy Commissioner Of Police for Operations and the Commander of Mopol 18 and Mopol 64 respectively.
He affirmed that the operation is aimed at capturing the fleeing criminals and restoring peace and security around Njaba corridor and Imo state at large.
He said: “The Commissioner of Police, Imo State Command, CP Aboki Danjuma, is leading the operation to capture the suspects who fled following the foiled attack on the Njaba Divisional Headquarters.
“He is personally combing the forested areas with the assistance of the Deputy Commissioner of Police for Operations and the Commanders of Mopol 18 and Mopol 64.
“Additional reinforcements have been deployed to enhance security and support the ongoing search. The strategic deployment is focused on ensuring the swift capture of the suspects and improving the security of Njaba Communities and other areas in the State.
“The Imo State Police Command remains committed to public safety and will continue its efforts to bring the attackers to justice.”
