This isn’t Nicki Minaj’s first interaction with Nigerians on social media. A few weeks ago, she made a tweet in pidgin English, which shocked a lot of Nigerians.

When some Nigerians quizzed her use of pidgin English, Nicki Minaj still responded in pidgin, to the surprise of many Nigerians.

Nicki Minaj isn’t the only foreign celebrity that has interacted with Nigerians or mixed with Nigerian culture recently.

Rihanna also got a taste of the Nigerian culture during a red carpet event, when a presenter attempted to teach her some Yoruba words.

A lot of Nigerians found Rihanna’s attempt at speaking Yoruba funny, with many of them applauding her for even making effort.
