NIS CG Warns Against Recruitment Scammers

The Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), KN Nandap, has alerted the public to fake recruitment activities by scammers across the country.

In a statement released on Wednesday by the NIS Public Relations Officer, DCI Kenneth Udo, the NIS said all its recruitment processes are transparent, merit-based, and free of charge.

The agency affirmed that it only advertises job vacancies through its official website, national newspapers, and government channels.

โ€œThe Nigeria Immigration Service maintains that all recruitment exercises are conducted in a transparent, free and merit-based manner. Vacancies are advertised through the NIS website, official government channels and recognized national newspapers.

โ€œThe NIS is working closely with relevant authorities to apprehend those involved in these fraudulent activities and bring them to justice. The Service remains committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism in all its operations,โ€ the statement partly read.

The Comptroller General urged the public to remain cautious and avoid falling victim to fraudulent schemes. She advised that any suspicious messages or individuals claiming to offer NIS recruitment services should be reported immediately.
