UniPort Debunks Recruitment Reports, Warns Of Fraudulent Activities

The University of Port Harcourt (UniPort) has denied reports circulating on social media about an ongoing recruitment exercise for teaching and non-teaching staff.

In a statement released, the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Dr. Sam Kpenu, clarified that no such recruitment advertisements have been issued by the university.

Dr. Kpenu stated, “The attention of the management of the University of Port Harcourt has been drawn to a publication making the rounds on social media suggesting that the university is recruiting staff. We want to unequivocally state that these claims are false.”

He, however, advised the public to be cautious of such misleading publications, which are likely the work of fraudulent individuals targeting unsuspecting members of the public.

Dr. Kpenu warned, “Members of the public are therefore enjoined to distance themselves from such misleading publications.”

He assured that any future recruitment opportunities will be officially announced through mainstream media channels and on its official website.
