“You all have never failed me in the cause of my career” – Wumi Toriola pens note ahead of her first Cinema debut as a producer
Nollywood actress and producer Wumi Toriola has penned a note to her fans and supporters as she set to make her first Cinema debut.
The movie star, who has undoubtedly broken YouTube records, is set to join the likes of Femi Adebayo, Lateef Adedimeji, Odunlade Adekola, Eniola Ajao and more with her Cinema debut. Wumi revealed that she would release her first Cinema movie, Queen Lateefah, in Cinemas on September 27.
She noted how she has been on DVD, YouTube screens and satellite TV for a while and has explored and is still exploring their screens. She revealed that in January, she leapt further to partner with Cinema Xng to produce her first Cinema debut.
The mother of one noted how her fans and supporters have never failed her in the cause of her career as their love for her has been her source of motivation.

A day back, Wumi Toriola had expressed excitement as one of her movies on YouTube hit 4 million views in just a month. Describing it as a big deal, she gave a thumbs up to herself, her cast, crew and fans.
In July, Wumi had celebrated a huge milestone on YouTube, as she hit 100k subscribers, which was undoubtedly a big feat. Declaring the day a monumental one, Wumi expressed how delighted she was, noting how it reflects the strong connection she and her team have built with their subscribers and millions of viewers.
Last month, Wumi threw shade at some of her colleagues for rubbishing her efforts. She revealed that someone called her a YouTube star, and yet, some of her colleagues are yet to conquer YouTube and are still floating in the box office world. Questioning if their colleagues knew them before rebranding, she admonished them to run their race and stop looking for Bollywood.
