Zamfara: APC lauds Yari on constituents’ welfare

The Zamfara state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Monday wrote a commendation letter in favour of Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar over his continuous assistance and welfare packages to his constituents and citizens in the state.

The letter which was signed by the chairman of the state chapter of the APC, Hon. Tukur Umar Danfulani and addressed to the national chairman of the party, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje applauded the impact of the former governor of the state noting that it can only speak on the impact of the last one year between September, 2023 and September, 2024, for want of space.

The Zamfara APC which said it is overwhelmed by what Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar has been doing expressed gratitude to the senator for purchasing, renovating, furnishing and donating a N400 million building which now serves as the party’s state secretariat situated along Sokoto bye-pass road, Gusau, the state capital.

The party appreciated the September, 2023 donation of 145 trailer loads of maize which the senator distributed free of charge to party members and other people of the state in order to ease their hardship.

It recalled that during the period to celebrate the Eid-el-Fitr Sallah, Senator Yari released 358 trailer loads of rice, sugar, millet, maize, guinea corn and 340 cows to the party executives, party members, supporters and other beneficiaries.

The senator also donated 28 trailer load of rice which was distributed free of charge to party members to celebrate the Eid-El-Kabir Sallah with ease and happiness.

Danfulani expressed the party’s appreciation over the provision of 75 trailer loads of fertilizer by Senator Yari which was sold at 50 per cent discount rate to farmers in the state, from the onset of this year’s rainy season.

“Additionally, Senator Yari donated 44 Highlander Jeeps to ease the transportation needs of some party executives at the state level as well as the party’s local government area chairmen to facilitate their functions.

“Ahead of the recent #End Bad Governance protest which was carried out throughout the country, Senator Yari came out to appeal for calm and understanding, a measure which helped in the protest being largely peaceful in the state.

“Even the recent flood disaster which ravaged hundreds of houses and rendered thousands homeless especially in Gummi, the Senator, after sending immediate relief package that comprised five trailer loads of rice, maize and millet as well as 10,000 mattresses and 10,000 blankets and began the reconstruction of over 5,000 houses to resettle the victims.”
