Bauchi government debunks dissolution of scholarship board

The Bauchi state government has debunked social media report on the dissolution of the management of the State Scholarship Board.

A press statement issued to journalists in Bauchi and signed by the special adviser on Media and Publicity to the state governor, Comrade Mukhtar Gidado, clarified that the report is false and misleading.

The statement described the report, which allegedly cited economic hardship and a lack of federal allocation as reasons for the board’s dissolution, as baseless.

The state government reassured the public that it remains committed to its educational priorities, including the provision of scholarships to deserving students across the state.

Gidado emphasised that Governor Bala Mohammed’s administration will continue to prioritse education despite the financial challenges faced by the nation and urged students, parents, and the general public to disregard the false reports and warned against the spread of misinformation.
