Borno flood: Remi Tinubu donates additional N250m to 5,000 women 

 

First Lady Senator Oluremi Bola Tinubu has again donated a cash support of N250 million t to 5000 women affected by the recent flood disaster in Maiduguri, Borno state.

Senator Remi announced the donation Wednesday at the Government House Maiduguri while paying a visit to the state to assess the impact of the natural disaster on the people

This is coming in spite of her earlier  cash support to the people and government of Borno when she sent the wife of the Vice President, Mrs. Nana Fatima Kashim Shettima  to present a donation of N500 million as cash  support.

The chairperson  of the Renewed Hope Initiative said the N250 million support to women affected by the flood  would enable them start up their petty and small scale businesses in order to ignite a new lease of life in the state capital.

Oluremi Tinubu also donated relief materials worth millions of naira to the women victims of the flood disaster, hinting that the next visit to Borno state would be a period of celebration and joy.

Governor Babagana Umara Zulum, in his remark,  expressed profound gratitude and appreciation to the President and his wife for their untiring support and donations to the people and government of Borno state.

 The First Lady was also at the Shehu of Borno’s palace where she prayed for peace and quick restoration of hope to the state capital, Maiduguri and its environs.
