Leaders, elders and people of Yache in Yala LG government of Cross River North senatorial district have lauded the quality representation of Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, promising the lawmaker their votes in 2027.
The constituents who hosted the lawmaker on Monday in the senatorial zone urged him not to relent but to continue to represent the constituency as his works have been noted.
Led by the Chairman of the Yache People’s Assembly, Joseph Ogboga, the constituents reminded the lawmaker of the deplorable state of Okuku-Yache road, which is the only access road to the state, and pleaded for remedies as he had promised.
They commended the lawmaker for the medical supplies and equipment which he distributed as part of his constituency projects across the communities in Yache.
In his remarks, senator Jarigbe expressed appreciation for the “thoughtful gifts of yams and a cow from the Yache People’s Assembly,” adding he’s “truly humbled and honoured by this gesture, which represents not just material items, but the deep connection and trust that exists between us.”
The senator who’s of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stated that “your recognition of the contributions I have made towards infrastructural development and empowerment in our community is both encouraging and inspiring.
“It has always been my belief that leadership should be about service—ensuring that our people have access to better roads, healthcare, education, and opportunities to improve their livelihoods.”
The senator noted that the journey to progress has been a collective one, pointing out that every step forward has been made possible by their unwavering support and commitment to the future of Yache and Cross River North as a whole.
“I consider it my duty to continue championing your needs and pushing for more projects that will transform our community and the lives of our people.
“The yams and cow you have presented to me today are not just gifts but symbols of your trust in my leadership, and for that, I am profoundly grateful.
“I assure you that I will remain committed to the development of the entire Yache community.”
The lawmakers assured them that “together, we will continue to build a brighter and more prosperous future for all of us.”
