Police Launch Manhunt For Kidnappers As 4 GIGM Victims Regain Freedom

The Rivers State Police Command has launched a massive manhunt for kidnappers who abducted passengers of a God is Good Motor (GIGM) bus traveling from Abuja to Port Harcourt.

The Command said four victims have regained their freedom.

According to SP Grace Iringe-Koko, the Command’s spokesperson, the police responded swiftly to the incident, deploying tactical teams to ensure the release of the victims.

“We are aware of the incident, and our Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed Bala Mustapha, immediately deployed his tactical team to ensure the release of the victims,” Iringe-Koko said.

She said as of the latest update, four of the kidnapped victims have been freed, with efforts ongoing to secure the release of any remaining captives.

The police have assured the public that they are working tirelessly to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to book.

She noted that the police are conducting a thorough investigation into the incident.

She, however, reassured the public of the Command’s commitment to ensuring their safety and security.
